Supertex Benefits Overview
 

We offer an excellent comprehensive benefit package for employees and their families! It includes the following:

Health Care

  • Medical Insurance
    Employees can choose between Kaiser HMO and Blue Cross PPO. Both plans offer hospitalization, surgical, preventative care and prescription drug benefits.

  • Dental Insurance
    Visit the dentist of your choice for quality dental coverage.

  • Disability
    Supertex offers a disability income protection plan in the event that employees become disabled and are unable to work. It provides for up to 60% of earnings while disabled.

  • Basic Life Insurance/AD&D
    Life insurance coverage is equivalent to employees' annual income.

  • Supplemental AD&D Insurance
    Protection in the event of your accidental death or serious injury for those employees who elect to purchase coverage.

Stock Option Plan
Supertex offers eligible employees a stake in the company. Stock Options may be granted to eligible employees upon hire and for exceptional performance.

Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)
The Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) provides you with the opportunity to share in the success of Supertex by owning stock in the company. Eligible employees may purchase shares of Supertex common stock at a discounted price through payroll deduction.

401(k) Retirement Savings Plan
Supertex matches a portion of each employee's pre-tax contributions. The IRS determines annual contribution limits. Participants may invest contributions in their choice of several professionally managed investment funds.

Deferred Compensation Plan (SERP)
This plan allows a select group of management employees to defer a portion of their taxable compensation into a non-qualified plan. Eligible employees may enroll once per year at open enrollment.

Section 125 Plan Options

  • Premium Contribution Plan
    Employees may elect to deduct pre-tax dollars for employee contributions for medical and dental coverage.

  • Health Care Reimbursement Account
    Employees elect to deduct pre-tax dollars from their paycheck to pay for eligible out-of-pocket health care expenses, such as co-payments, deductibles, dental, orthodontia and vision care expenses.

  • Dependent Care Reimbursement Account
    This account allows employees the opportunity to deduct pre-tax dollars from their paycheck to pay for eligible out-of-pocket dependent care expenses.

Time Off

  • Holidays
    Supertex observes 10 holidays per calendar year.

  • Vacation
    Employees of Supertex enjoy 10 days of vacation per year. Vacation accrual increases based on years of service, up to a maximum of twenty days per year.

  • Sick Leave
    Employees receive 10 days of sick pay per year. A portion of unused sick time is paid to eligible non-exempt employees at the end of the year.

Other Benefits

  • Educational Assistance
    The tuition reimbursement program is designed to assist employees with the cost of eligible education expenses up to an amount of $5,000 per year.

  • Employee Referral Program
    Employees may refer qualified candidates to Supertex and receive cash if they are hired!
